RISI invites you to join John Maine, Vice President, World Graphic Papers, and Ken Waghorne, Vice President, World Packaging, for a session on the world markets for printing- writing paper and paperboard. Mr. Maine will present RISI’s two-year demand/supply forecast for the major printing- writing paper grades and producer response to falling demand, including trade protection, capacity closures, and increased efforts to export. Mr. Waghorne will present RISI's two year outlook for the boxboard grades, which will focus on the domestic demand drivers for the different markets and the challenges that are likely on the trade front during the next two years given the large amount of capacity that will be starting up overseas.

John is co-founder of Resource Information Systems Inc., the company that became the analytic component of RISI, the leading information provider for the world forest products industry. Mr. Maine has 30 years of experience in the paper industry and developed the graphic paper segment of RISI. He is a recognized industry expert for Printing & Writing paper markets, prices, analysis, and forecasts. Mr. Maine is a regular speaker and consultant for most major producers worldwide as well as various end-user groups including insert & catalog publishers, magazine publishers, book publishers, paper merchants & brokers, and major commercial printers.
Mr. Maine holds a Master of Science degree in Forest Economicswith distinction from Virginia Tech.
Kenneth Waghorne, Vice President, Packaging Products, RISI, Inc.
Ken has specialized in paper packaging markets for RISI since 1983. He provides detailed monthly and quarterly analysis and forecasts of the North American paper packaging markets as well as single- and multi-client studies. His contributions to the RISI multi-client studies include the detailed analysis of the international containerboard markets, sector-by-sector forecasts for the U.S. folding carton industry, and an analysis of the paper packaging markets for Latin America.
Ken holds a Master of Science degree in Forest Economics from Virginia Tech and his Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from LSU.
