What are the benefits of the AF&PA and NPTA collaboration?
The paper industry is changing and it was time to rethink how the primary trade associations serving the industry could unite the industry to foster stronger relationships and address industry change and opportunity. Additionally, all firms operating in the industry are re-assessing their resources and investment in industry event. Uniting the two leading associations in the paper industry will drive a larger and broader audience to Paper2012 than either association could attract on their own and thus produce a healthy return-on-investment for all participants.
Why is the event moving to a new location within NYC in 2012?
Change is good! New hotels, new restaurants, new attractions will keep the event fresh and exciting.
Will the event be returning to Chicago in the future?
Yes, Paper2013 will be held in Chicago on March 17-19, 2013.
Who should secure a suite in Paper2012?
Paper mills, service providers and any firm seeking to do business and enhance their relationship with paper distributors and end-users of paper and related products should secure a suite at Paper2012.
What is the purpose of a suite in Paper2012?
The suite at the host hotels provides a professional and private environment in which paper mills and suppliers can meet with their distributors, brokers and end-user customers to review past performance, introduce new products and programs, and build personal relationships that will serve to elevate sales. If you are seeking to reserve a suite simply to reside during your stay and not to host current/potential customers, you do not need to register your suite with the Paper2012 sponsoring associations.
Why do I need to pay a fee to the sponsoring associations for my suite?
Suite-holders pay a suite fee to the sponsoring associations to cover the cost of planning, marketing and executing Paper2012 plus a discounted, daily suite rate to the host hotel for the use of the suite over the course of your stay. Specially discounted suite rates at the host hotels vary based on the size and features of the suite but are highly competitive for this time period in New York City. The sponsoring associations are uniting your current and potential customers in New York so that you can efficiently meet with them over a condensed period of time. The suite sponsorship fee is a bargain compared to the expense of traveling to see these current/potential customers on your own.
What are the benefits of securing a suite within the official hotels compared to other hotels?
The host hotels have the single largest pool of suites large enough to meet the needs of Paper2012 participants. The room rates at these hotels are highly competitive compared to other hotels in NYC.
Where will my suite listing be printed / posted?
The event sponsors will only promote the official suite holders who have paid the required fees and registered their people. All official suite holders and suite locations will be listed on the Paper2012.com website and in the official Convention Daily distributed on-site. NOTE: Suite holders retain the right to decline publishing any or all of this information if they so choose.
What’s the difference between a Full Convention Registration and a Limited Access Pass?
All Paper2012 attendees need badge credentials to participate and access the host hotels and hospitality suites. There are two registration options: Full Convention Registration and Limited Access Passes. The registrations and passes included in the suite sponsorship packages may be used by suite holder personnel or given to customers or guests.
The Full Convention Registration provides individual registrants access to Paper2012 event hotels and suites, the Registration Area, the Monday Opening Session, the Speed Networking Session, and the RISI Paper Industry Trends & Forecast Session
Limited Access Passes provide access to Paper2012 event hotels and suites and the Registration Area.
